Project Summary

Intimate relationship experiences during the transition to adulthood are strong predictors of future divorce, which in turn affect adults' and children's social and financial well-being. The vast majority of young people form (and dissolve) intimate relationships during the transition to adulthood. We hypothesize that negative intimate relationship experiences will predict dissolution during this period, and that these patterns will vary across different sociodemographic groups.
