Call for proposals: Pilot grant for the study of rural contexts
October 17, 2022
The Institute for Social Research is pleased to announce a new pilot project grant program for the Study of Rural Contexts in collaboration with the University of Michigan College of Engineering (CoE). Maintaining the emphasis on interdisciplinary research which distinguishes ISR, we and the CoE invite proposals for new research which focuses on the signature theme of physical and social contexts in rural places.
The Study of Rural Contexts pilot grant program invites proposals which bring together colleagues from the CoE and ISR with a focus on the rural. By combining the resources and expertise across these two units, this program will highlight the strengths of interdisciplinary research at the University of Michigan to gain novel insights into rural living through this unique collaboration.
Full proposals are due December 2, 2022 at 5 p.m. Please click here for more information and to apply for a pilot grant.
If you have a particular subject of study in mind and would like to be connected with another faculty member from ISR or CoE, please contact Paige Brann at [email protected].
