ANN ARBOR — The University of Michigan Center for Global Health Equity has awarded $1.9 million in grant funding to two research teams working to advance vaccine equity around the world.

One of the teams includes Emily Treleaven, who also holds an appointment as a Research Assistant Professor at the Institute for Social Research’s Survey Research Center (SRC). Treleaven will serve as a co-principal investigator with Gershim Asiki, Research Scientist at the African Population and Health Research Center (APHRC).

Treleaven and Asiki will use their funding to develop a parent-facing digital vaccine card, which aims to make it easier to track crucial information related to childhood immunizations and other health records, overcoming the problem of lost, damaged, or destroyed paper records.
