BIO

William Frey specializes in migration, population redistribution and the demography of metropolitan areas. He is currently studying the dynamics of race and status-selective immigration and internal migration dynamics in U.S. metropolitan areas with the 1980-2000 Censuses. He also studies the migration and distribution of the elderly population in the U.S. as well as poverty migration determinants. Dr. Frey directs the Social Science Data Analysis Network (www.SSDAN.net) that creates demographic media for educators and policy-makers.
